Maybe ninety-seconds into last night’s long-awaited debate spectacle, the consensus must have jelled among the woke-and-broken news media mavens that their champion, “Joe Biden,” was not quite killing it out there at podium. CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash acted like witnesses at a ritual sacrifice. And afterward, the CNN post-mortem panel seemed genuinely shocked that months of playing pretend had skidded to such an ignominious finish.

or completely out of the Oval Office?

There’s been so much happening over the past 24 hours that it’s hard to keep up. The Supreme Court has been releasing several key rulings that will have a major impact on American politics.
Just this morning, they overturned the so-called Chevron deference that’s been in operation since the 1980s. Chevron handed the federal bureaucracy extensive authority to interpret statutes as it sees fit. It largely removed judicial oversight of the administrative state, which was a license for rampant bureaucratic abuse.

Keep in mind that Federal Reserve Chairman Powell kept downplaying inflation as “transitory” in 2021, but also ended up wildly wrong (almost negligent).
On the other hand, we actually live in the real world with real people. So back in 2021, we thought inflation might accelerate to 10% officially, before backing off.
The result? The official inflation rate accelerated to a 9% peak in June 2022 before FINALLY starting to slow down a little.

THE LAST BOOMER PRESIDENT
It’s official! I’ve hit peak Boomer fatigue.
I haven’t written about the Boomers in awhile because, let’s face it, regardless of how much I’m fed up with this generation clinging onto power with the desperate grip from whatever strength remains in their arthritic hands- time is on my side.
But I think it’s time collectively for the younger generations to take away the nuclear football and change the codes on the SCIFs. It’s obvious many of these people plan on dying in office and it’s our responsibility to retire them before that happens. We can’t continue on this path anymore.

In 2020 at the onset of the covid pandemic scare and right before the lockdowns I’ll never forget going on a grocery run on a Friday afternoon only to find near empty roads and near empty stores. The few other people shopping had a glassy stare in their eyes, like they were dazed or shell-shocked. For me and those I know that prep, it was just another day; for those that hadn’t prepped it was a nightmare of uncertainty.
In Montana we didn’t pay much heed to the lockdowns after the first month. In three months everything was basically back to normal except for the mask mandates which most people ignored. With more data available on the virus it was clear that the chance of death was greatly exaggerated. What scared us far more was the pervasive talk of vaccine passports in 2021. The proposed state and federal restrictions on people that refused to take the jab were familiar – This was the beginning of full blown tyranny unless we stood firm.

Zelensky preparing ‘plan to end war’
Kiev is taking heavy casualties and doesn’t have much time, the Ukrainian leader has said
Ukraine is preparing a “comprehensive plan” for ending the conflict with Russia that should be ready by the end of the year, Vladimir Zelensky has said.
Zelensky made the comments at a press conference in Kiev, after meeting Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar on Friday.
“We will also work out all other points of the Peace Formula and prepare a comprehensive plan that will be on the table before our partners,” Zelensky said. “It is very important for us to show a plan to end the war that will be supported by the majority of the world. This is the diplomatic path we are working on.”

That old saw hit me as I waded through Dr. Anthony S. Fauci’s 464-page autobiography, “On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service.”
Though auto-hagiography is a more accurate description.
For decades, Fauci was one of Washington’s most powerful bureaucrats. In 2011, the New York Times called him the “J. Edgar Hoover of biology.” Covid made him a household name and lightning rod worldwide. Now he has given the public an inside look at his unique career.
In theory, anyway.
In reality, readers looking for serious self-reflection in “On Call” will be disappointed. Fauci’s tome feels like nothing so much as a book-length cover letter from a job candidate who is very pleased with himself.

Will Washington’s Latest Sanctions Have Unintended Consequences?

I have not paid close attention to the details of the sanctions Washington has imposed on Russia and on other countries that deal with Russia in sanctioned items, which in my impression are largely military related items. My view has been that the sanctions have been good for Russia by forcing Russia out of the globalist trap toward self-sufficiency. The sanctions have mainly hurt Europeans via higher energy costs and lost business opportunities. These sanctions also hurt Americans who invested in Russian oil and Russian financial instruments. These investments are now carried on US financial statements at zero value.
