THE LAST BOOMER PRESIDENT

It’s official! I’ve hit peak Boomer fatigue.

I haven’t written about the Boomers in awhile because, let’s face it, regardless of how much I’m fed up with this generation clinging onto power with the desperate grip from whatever strength remains in their arthritic hands- time is on my side.

But I think it’s time collectively for the younger generations to take away the nuclear football and change the codes on the SCIFs. It’s obvious many of these people plan on dying in office and it’s our responsibility to retire them before that happens. We can’t continue on this path anymore.

Past generations have known when it’s time to gracefully step back and hand the reins over to more capable hands but these people have no shame.

The Republic isn’t dying because we’re at the end of an empire. It wasn’t designed to be an empire in the first place. It’s merely bleeding out from the thousand cuts being inflicted on it by this stubborn generation who refuses to believe the world will continue on after they’ve died.

This stubborn generation is killing our country because they can’t accept the fact they’re not immortal and the next generation chooses the future path of the country.

While I still believe Donald Trump and RFK Jr are fit to run for office it’s obvious Joe Biden needs to resign along with EVERYBODY who has conspired to hide his mental decline.

The difference of 12 years between these two debates highlights how far these people have jeopardized the stability of our country and the extent of the elder abuse that’s happening behind closed doors.

More importantly it’s time we move on from the Boomers holding government power as a whole. While there’s plenty of mentally fit Boomers (and a few Silent generation) who can contribute to our country, we need to finally hand over ALL power to the next generation.

There’s over 300 million people in the USA and I’m pretty sure we can find enough people under the age of 60 to replace all the aging Boomers.

At this point I think Trump has secured his second term. But please, let him be the last Boomer president. This country has been under the steward of the Boomers since President Clinton was elected 32 years ago. It’s time for the younger generations to suck it up, take off the training wheels, and be responsible for the survival of this country.

Trump, Bannon, and Navarro can’t save the country by themselves. They shouldn’t be the only ones willing to go to jail for our liberty. This country has become so spoiled we’re no longer willing to fight for our freedoms. We’ve taken the Constitution for granted for too many decades. The time is dawning on us when we’re going to have to overthrow this bloated and out of touch administrative state.

That’s assuming it doesn’t collapse on it’s own from being under the control of a spendthrift congress who’s proven to be less capable of saying “NO” than a horny teenager on prom night.

I’ve been holding onto hope for years that we can have the first peaceful revolution in human history. Which should always be the first option in a country comprised of free people. Sadly, I believe that’s not going to be possible if they imprison Trump before the election.

If they put Trump in jail there won’t be an election because the country will have fallen and we’ll have no choice to step up to fill the void. We can’t cede control of this country to a dementia addled meat puppet and his merry band of commies, drug addicts, and con artists.

The inter-generational transfer of power is on the horizon as this millennium fourth turning wraps up. We’re down to two options; either we elect Trump and get a four year grace period to hand over power to the next generation or they’ll imprison Trump and the country will collapse from the rot within.

By November we’ll have elected our last Boomer president either way.

Silent generation. But the dates are arbitrary, and while most list 1946, some list 44 or 46. But is there really differences between people born in 44 , 45 or 46? Probably not, these people are often called tweeners.

The years are arbitrarily picked. Trump, Clinton, and GW Bush were all born in 46 and are sometimes referred to as “tweeers”. I am guessing they would have a lot more in common with someone born in 45 than 64.

Trump should refuse to cooperate, not attend the “sentencing hearing,” and stay out of NY and all other blue state shit holes. He should tell the spic judge, “Come get me, faggot!”

He should never have participated in any of these sham “cases” and should’ve sold all his blue state buildings and properties long ago so they’d have nothing to seize or hold over his head.

Well said. As a boomer, I agree 100 percent. I am disgusted by what has happened to so many of my generation. If I see another 65 year old man with “tats”, I will puke. Ditto for the self-indulgent assholes who plan to spend every penny they have before they die, leaving nothing for their struggling kids. Yeah, Boomers put us where we are now.

That said, there is a solid core of Boomers who did not go with the flow, who tried to stop the onrushing tide, who did their duty, and served without complaint.

Hopefully, if Trump wins, those few can serve long enough to identify to move ahead the younger folks who deserve it, and teach them what is worthwhile from the “old times”.

Stephanie,
Yes, there are good Boomers out there. But there are too many that you described all too well in your screed. Sage is definitely one of the good ones and I hope that I am one as well. As an aside, I have said many times that too many in government think they are going to live forever. They need to realize that nobody gets out of this world alive. Keep fighting the good fight.

Here are my observations on boomers.

Rather than see the implications of their cowardice, they justified it as securing their position to provide for their families

They began as fairly moral and disciplined in Christian tradition (as they were taught), but their parents never told them the why of anything, and so they couldn’t pass that on themselves.

Related to the last point, they were raised during the dawn of multiple forms of mass media, and so they just trusted it all, because they began as mostly moral in a secular (pagan) sense.

And so they didn’t even notice their own moral decline as they consumed this media. But, I did. I watched good people in their 20s and 30s turn into degenerates by their 30s or 40s and continue to decline until they reached about 60 or 70s. Then some of them found either God or made peace with themselves as gods themselves. The former are buckling under the temporal consequences of their sin, the latter less so, but finding a certain kind of peace, they are probably never going to find God, and so sail off into their golden retirements right into Hell.

Speaking strictly demographically the proof is in the pudding though isn’t it ? Those who were given the most seem to have blown it majorly in terms of preserving freedom, in my opinion as a fellow boomer . I put it largely down to the effects that all the easy fake money has had on folks and by extension the general character of the nation since perhaps 71′ when the dollar lost any andall connection to anything tangible .Me ? you would consider me a stupid sucker, and perhaps I am ,because I have worked at hard manual labor like an illegal Mexican migratory worker all my life . But I have not been part of the problem as a result, having created far more value than I ever consumed . thats my two cents anyway as barely a boomer( 63 ) ,” I was the last child , just a punk in the street ” Aerosmith ( I literally was the last of five , parents divorced and so on …)

I would CONSERVATIVELY estimate my “value” to consumption is EASILY 1000-1 positive, easily. When I was “working” , others did so as well, generally over 65 years of work it came out to $25/hr in 1972 dollars, roughly. Yeah….

That’s a very boomer viewpoint. We don’t care about the blame, we want to identify the problems so we can avoid them, or at least teach younger people to avoid them.

The blaming isn’t about ego, like it is with boomers and older genxers. All that corporate branding was to program you to have uber-egos. Gen-x saw the futility of that in the 90s as teenagers. The egos were harder for us to shake, but many of us did.

I know its late to the conversation but I think it’s productive to point out that with age should come wisdom ,and that used to be a thing . Perhaps we could still benefit from boomers in leadership but it has to be the right kind of boomers / our formula for choosing political leadership is woefully lacking obviously . Somebody like me would make a far better president than anything the ruling establishment would pick for themselves . of course I’m nobody and have skeletons in my closet just like almost anyone else but I believe my point is valid . Old people , who have lived right and had the right values and principles ought to be considered gems of wisdom , but of course perhaps society at large swimming in the cultural stew that it does , doesn’t know how to identify authentic wisdom ? Just sayin, silver hair can be a crown of glory for some whom have figured out how to patiently endure till the end and simultaneously haven’t lost their wonder at the beauty and mystery of the world and our existence in child like fashion . We have bad taste , there are plenty of wise old ones who ,having seen the changing of the seasons their fair share would make fine leaders .

I fear they may be the proverbial fish that don’t know they are wet . What I mean by that is that as barely a boomer 63 I have living memory of a simper and in my opinion better time for America . how can you take something back to something you never had any conception of in other words ? Like folks cant even fathom American healthcare pre HMO( when it was financialized ) let alone conceive of a populace ashamed of taking handouts or how austere the average American household was even as recently as the sixties and seventies when really most people didn’t have shit by today’s standards but we didnt know to feel as though we had been deprived of anything it didn’t matter and its just the way it was , say one telephone, one boob tube , one car , no computer or digital electronics really and so on , I don’t think we are less for having been deprived of all of that crap that most folk today couldn’t conceive living without . A really good example of that is cellphones on construction jobsites , well how the hell did we ever manage to alongget without them ? Quite well actually .I still leave mine in the van and all the young manager types complain because I am not available . Too busy working lol.

Old and out of touch can be at any age, some people are with it at 100 and others suffering dementia at fifty. I do agree they should step way, but the lust for power prevents that. Think John McCain, John Lewis an Diane Feinstein all who staid in office until death.
I don’t know how you prevent that other than term limits and Congress is never going to limit their own terms. The other way would be a Constitutional convention, but a lot of state politicians have Federal office hopes or close friends and won’t limit the terms either.

That’s the only book of theirs I bought, but I still haven’t read it. My priorities have changed. The Bible pretty much negates all significance of politics and culture. It negates worries about the future. It calls us only to repent and believe the Good News.

What is the Good News? That Christ died for the ungodly, that those who believe and trust in Him will have eternal life in a world without sin. He suffered our punishment for us, so that this may be possible: To have the Holy Spirit in us by our baptism, and to have the favor of the Father, though we don’t deserve it.

I am not theological expert, but it seems to me that belief in Jesus Christ and the triune God are not enough to save. Even the demons believe that. Faith is trust in the promise and trust in God’s eternal love.

Romans 5:7-9
King James Version
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The definitions of when the generations changed over has always been somewhat nebulous. For example, Gen-Xer’s that are around 58 years old (right on the cusp) were sometimes labeled as Boomers depending on who was defining the window. As someone that fell in that cusp, I honestly can’t relate to either generation and have always wondered how I went back and forth from being a “greedy evil Boomer” to a slacker Gen Xer based on who was defining the situation. As Stephanie mentioned, it is based on shared experiences and I think people on the cusp didn’t really share experiences with either group (or maybe we shared with both and it left us confused).

Pretty simple to define the start. End of WW2 and millions of horny testosterone charged guys came home and got busy. Whether VE Day or VJ Day, the children began appearing en masse in 1946. That part is indisputable. The end date would be around one generation or twenty years. There might be a bit of wiggle room for the end but absolutely not the beginning.

Boomers certainly have their fair share of wrongs. Fortunately they can’t be blamed for allowing the Pride/sexualization of children/denying there are only two gender/…need I go on?…to proliferate. That’s on the Millennials and Gen Z. How will they explain to their children and grandchildren the acceptance of when they promoted that? In time those generations will also be rightfully skewered by their offspring. If that’s the ‘leadership’ they’re bringing to the table….well, they don’t deserve being leaders of the government either.

In twenty years, everything out of a GenXers mouth to someone younger will be based on the premise that everything in the world exists eternally in the year 2004. Nothing changes. Nothing ever has changed. All circumstances for all people are exactly what they experienced in 2004. Social, political, cultural, economic — it will be 2004 forever.

From the start they have been the invisible generation for some reason. As for the Greatest generation they fought the war, but those that survived where the most selfish generation in history. Thought provoking read. The desire (and ability) of so many boomers to hang on for so long strikes me as one of the factors that makes this cycle a tad different from prior periods of history.

And as clear as the issue is with Presidents, if that was just it then it might not be a big deal. But all across institutions Gen Xers have basically been told to wait their whole lives. The cumulative impact on psyches of the next generation is going to be very interesting.

LOL the Boomers haven’t even hit the heights of real power in Congress. Here is a list of the Silent Generation still in power.

The Silent generation is generally defined as people born from 1928 to 1945.

1. Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, 90 (recently deceased)

2. Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, 89

3. Representative Grace F. Napolitano, Democrat of California, 86 (retiring)

4. Representative Bill Pascrell Jr., Democrat of New Jersey, 86

5. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, Democrat of the District of Columbia, 86

6. Representative Harold Rogers, Republican of Kentucky, 85

7. Representative Maxine Waters, Democrat of California, 85

8. Representative Steny H. Hoyer, Democrat of Maryland, 84

9. Representative Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, 83

10. Representative James E. Clyburn, Democrat of South Carolina, 83

11. Representative Danny K. Davis, Democrat of Illinois, 82

12. Senator Bernie Sanders, independent of Vermont, 82

13. Representative John Carter, Republican of Texas, 81

14. Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky, 81

15. Representative Frederica S. Wilson, Democrat of Florida, 80

16. Representative Anna G. Eshoo, Democrat of California, 80

17. Representative Kay Granger, Republican of Texas, 80

18. Representative Rosa DeLauro, Democrat of Connecticut, 80

19. Senator Jim Risch, Republican of Idaho, 80

20. Representative Virginia Foxx, Republican of North Carolina, 80

Even Bill Clinton, GW Bush and Donald Trump are more ‘tweeners’ than boomers, all born in 1946, only one year into when the baby boom started, and much more likely to identify with the Silent Generation. Just a couple of other Congressional Power Brokers that recently left or died – Harry Reid born December 2, 1939 and John Lewis February 21, 1940.
Talk about hanging on to long!!!

The only real Boomer was O’bummer born on August 4, 1961.
Yet everything is the Boomers fault!

Yeah the odds are quite good there’s another boomer prez or even two left in the power structure in the literal definition of generations. I mean, somebody born in 1960 will ‘only’ be 72 in 2032. I think what’s interesting is how instead of questioning authority (including their parents) many* of the boomers went along and endorsed the authoritarian assault on Constitutional government. Kennedy? Just Say No? Militarized police? UN system? Meh, screw the grandkids, we’ve got cheap housing and stocks to ride through the most comfortable era of human material prosperity ever.

*TBPers excluded of course. Y’all are the exception that proves the rule. Fourth Turnings and other cyclical themes are about averages and commonalities across large groups of people. Of course boomers aren’t directly responsible for the silents that have clung to power. What they are responsible for, in aggregate, is siding with the central planners rather than making fun of them. Busybody boomers have been all over society meddling with Xers and Millennials instead of pushing back against their own parents.

Yes … you are correct that there exist a great number of important topics we should all be discussing today.

If You object to what you view as a “lightweight” commentator, please feel free to regale and enlighten us with an article of your own. We’ll all be waiting with bated breath and great expectations.

I have several articles out, under different names. Doubt seriously that they would make it here for different reasons. Still, doesnt change the fact that this little girl just keeps harping on the same thing, and it aint the right thing.
It IS indeed the moderator/owners prerogative and right to print whatever he wishes; I believe the point[s] that are being made is that we, the audience have become spoiled to high quality prose from basically an intelligent, realistic and “true Right” – yes, I know the whole left/right paradigm is inaccurate, but lets use it for now – perspective. This little girl and the newest millennial scribbler are not what we expect or appreciate.

I built it with $2000 down that we saved. No help from anyone. Lived there 1 1/2 years and sold it in a hot market to an investor for 15k more than I built it. I only paid $31,500 for it to begin with.

That’s how boomers get shit done, and it was a worse economic downturn than now in many ways. Downturns are opportunity if you know how to take advantage. Try it sometime.

BTW, 2k was hard to come by in your early twenties back in the day. I’ve never asked for help or whined that times are tough. I was too busy working and planning.

None of the characteristics of any president matter in the least.
They are media figureheads.
Puppets who decide nothing of importance.
Been that way since Wilson, who with the passage of the central bank (he was blackmailed), admitted that he destroyed his country.

I’m pretty sure we can find enough people under the age of 60 to replace all the aging Boomers.

You mean like handing things over to the generation that created things like “safe spaces” for their kids, trophies for everyone and won’t let their kids play outside by themselves? The same generation that created things like DEI?

No thanks. Maybe we can skip to the next one.

“traumatized” … HAhaHahahaha… now that’s rich! Sure, there were probably some who were abused [traumatized] throughout their childhood, just as every generation has witnessed, but by and large, overall, and speaking holistically, your generation has been pampered, catered to and coddled for its entire life, demanding everything be handed to them in an instance rather than working for years like so many of us had to do before ever reaching relative comfort in our lives.

The problem with people such as Yourself is you want instant gratification, and you don’t care that it might inconvenience or harm those it places the greatest burden upon.

The problem is that you and your ilk look to longingly at Government for solutions and a fix to your life, rather than making those solutions for yourselves, puling yourselves up by your bootstraps to be independent adults and putting forth your best effort to make something worthwhile with your life.

Right now, we see whiny-ass entitled “students” who are crying over the massive amount of student loans the asked to receive and assured payment on by way of a contract. And once again, they’ve received privileged treatment — when a good portion of them already come from wealthy families and are attending Ivy League universities — as Joe Biden has wiped the slate clean for many of them with a $153 billion bailout to be borne by the U.S. taxpayer, many of whom never could afford to go to college and found other ways to make their livings, often through manual labor or semi-skilled and skilled trades they learned on their own and along the way.

Your generation is always looking to blame someone else rather than taking personal responsibility for yourselves and your own choices you’ve made along the way.

“traumatized” … you haven’t ever seen real hard times … traumatized my ass … HahaHAhahahahaha

I wish you could have walked a mile in my shoes. You’d have probably killed yourself by the time you were seventeen.

What a rant! As if the problems we face as a country can be summed up as an age or generational issue.

The issue is as Thomas Sowell puts it is that people are all fatally flawed and as such any institution/program/system will be as well,

Our founders knew this and created this republic within the context of it being governed by a Christian morality to guide and restrain it’s members of government as well as the populace.

The farther we stray from this truth the worse it’s going to get. As of right now our country (government and people) have become unrestrained and ungovernable. Destruction and tyranny will follow in short order if this path is not corrected.

One has only to study the history of past cultures/civilizations to understand what the future will be for us. The dumpster of history is full of examples of societies that fell into this same moral abyss

Justin Smith

I’m not so certain the number of “hits” is indicative of anyone’s intelligence or lack thereof. My last article at TBP received over 400 hits, but I’m guessing it hinges more on the dynamics between those posting comments than on what any one particular article posits for their review and scrutiny — and not so much on what is actually written in any one specific article.

Posters on my articles often get far from the actual issue and context of them and stray off on tangents on everything from religion and Jew hatred to whether or not voting is worthwhile.

The initial topic might get the conversation started, but I don’t believe the number of hits actually has much to do with any particular author “[knowing] what [they are] doing.”

I haven’t kept track of how many hits Mary Christine’s articles receive, but she very often writes some extremely important and outstanding noteworthy pieces, in my estimation, that reveal an intelligent lady, regardless of how many hits they receive.

If an absurd article, by the account of numerous experts, should receive an incredibly large number of positive hits would that then suggest that those who responded were somehow mentally deficient? Just curious …..

No … I get it. Steph’s piece generated a lot of hits and a large number of Anons have called it a “low IQ piece”, which Mary Christine as highlighted.

She hasn’t said she favors silencing anyone for those who cry “this is a free speech site”, only that if some think Steph’s piece is so bad, they might want to give it a go with one of their own — perhaps to find it isn’t always so easy as one might think to hit the right chord with the readers. And Mary Christine is right.

I only added that the number of hits isn’t really indicative of the intelligence of any one particular author, or the worth of any one piece, since the commentors at this site are notorious for straying far and away off topic. … just sayin’ …

HAhaHahahahahaha … my articles are NEVER self-congratulatory, since I never attempt to draw focus from the main premise and the issue to myself. Any focus on me always seems to come by way of ignorant comments from folks like you who seem intent on making me the focus, as if I alone am somehow responsible for all their problems and the problems of America.

My articles are always pointed and purpose driven, filled with facts and evidence, if lengthy. I can’t help that you are so obtuse and mentally debilitated to the point that you cannot see the points I always state quite clearly. The failure lies in your inability to comprehend and think cogently, not in my ability to articulate my point.

With Idiots like you voting, it’s no damned wonder the country is going to hell in a hand basket. Is this point clear enough for You, Waldo?

Don’t blame me — or others for that matter — because you are too mentally weak, deficient and LAZY to read a rather lengthy essay.

My guess … you really must be quite the failure in real life, so you take whatever pleasure you can find in trolling websites making anonymous comments, trying to fill the void in your worthless life with your own false sense of self-worth, playing the “big man” … poor little man that you are.

Two or three pages overwhelms your brain … that right there says it all. And like I said, if you can’t find meaning in my pieces, it’s because you can’t properly comprehend what you read; plenty of other people assure me each time of the worth of what I write.

Or perhaps it’s just your own preconceived notions that prevents you from seeing anything of worth in them, as you remain comfortable in your own narrow-minded world and refusing to hear any real expression of the truth.
