I got up early on Memorial Day. I was bummed out before breakfast. Why?
I was born just ahead of the Baby Boomers (1946-1964). My childhood was filled with parades, flags, cemetery visits and reverence for those who “protected our freedom”. I proudly joined the Marines at 17.
My children were raised accordingly, special holidays were spiced up with flags and John Phillips Sousa music.
I missed Korea and Vietnam. I attend veteran events to honor those who weren’t so lucky.
My sour mood was triggered by a patriotic post about “Honoring those who gave their lives to preserve our freedom.”
Wikipedia explains:
“Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
…. It is a day for visiting cemeteries and memorials to mourn the military personnel who died in the line of duty. Volunteers will place American flags on the graves of those military personnel in national cemeteries. Others such as family and friends will also come to lay flowers on the graves of those who died in the US military.”
Jo’s dear friend Carlene does that each year. Carlene’s father, a small-town mailman who owned an ice cream parlor, earned a Silver Star in WWII. He was called and helped “preserve our freedom” in one of the deadliest wars in history.
Wait a minute!
WWI was supposed to be “The War To End All Wars. How many times has Congress declared war in the 106 years that followed? Technically once, WWII. What about the wars Baby Boomers experienced?
“No formal declaration of war has occurred since World War II.”
One of the reasons that Putin has conducted his campaign against Ukraine as a Special Military Operation, besides being in compliance with Russian law, is that it is fully in compliance with the International Rules Based Order invented and enforced by the United States and by which the United States has conducted all of its aggressive military operations since WWII.
Which all of those who have been targets of said United States aggression are fully aware of, and thus fully aware that the United States is being duplicitous (i.e. lying) when it makes the claim that Russia’s Special Military Operation violates the International Rules Based Order.
“What is the goal of war?”
To force the opposition to submit. That’s all. The killing and destruction are undesirable tactics, not strategy. Far better that they should submit themselves and their assets to serfdom with little to no destruction.
I’ve noticed that the rules of the “Rules Based Order” aren’t listed anywhere. It seems that those rules are just invented when occasions arise for the claim that someone has violated the “rules”. Rules that are only hinted at, aren’t rules at all, in my view.

The saturation of sheer mediocrity in every facet of life in the western world is an obstacle that cannot be overcome. This is because it utterly dominates every single facet of life. Serving and protecting its own interests, it smothers the chances of anything better or potentially useful from coming forth.
I’ve said it before, and will say it again: the collective West is too stupid and fat to survive, and it is being out-competed by invasive forces literally everywhere you look. I’m almost starting to enjoy it a little bit, as I see this general mediocrity as my main foe.
I see the best and brightest around me completely crippled by crappy vested interests which are completely absorbed in sowing their own demise. This monopoly of the mediocre is fundamentally unsustainable, and it is going to come to a spectacular (and possibly explosive) halt within a relatively short time frame.
Personally, I have much to offer the world. But this monopolistic/mercantilist mediocrity makes it impossible for people like me to contribute meaningfully to mankind. I’m not exactly trying to play the victim here, but I am trying to sound an alarm that things are irreparably fubar, and incapable of improving on the general trajectories established for the future.
So instead of offering up paradigm-shifting solutions that can fundamentally transform everything in the most amazing ways possible, you will see people like me hunker down and prepare for the inevitable chaos, while your worst enemies grow immeasurable stronger. The current hellscape will grow much worse and evolve, and you will lose so hard that it will make your head spin. Prepare for that. Prepare for being on the losing side of history. Trump cannot save you from what is coming. Elon musk cannot do it either. I’d say recite your prayers, but that simply isn’t gonna cut it, so don’t waste time expecting real, meaningful solutions there. For the little things, okay, sure, talk to Jesus. But you won’t be praying your way out of what is coming. It’s getting ridiculous having to always state the obvious.
I hope I’m wrong here. More than anything. But I know I’m not, and it’s not difficult to verify that.
Idk what I was going for here with this post. If you’re looking for hope, there is none, unless you have $24,000,000 to invest. Even then, I’m losing my desire to help, bit-by-bit, with each passing day. I’m fully prepared to give up and move on. Just to be clear, YOU are not ready for that. I wish I could tell you more, but I won’t unless I can trust you.
So, an utter hellscape encroaches, and is poised to swallow up your entire world. I don’t expect any of us to make it, unless rapid, meaningful change is implemented, and I really have no desire to manage that project anymore. I might advise you, however. You could possibly hire me as a consultant, or I will even outright sell you the solution to all of your ills. But I don’t really want much part of it anymore. I’ll be happy enough to let someone else take my concepts and run with them. I’ll sell them for $16 million dollars, and that is an unbelievable bargain. This synergistic technological complex is worth quadrillions. It’s your only real hope.
I wish I was stronger and a better man- perhaps it would be easier- but my life’s struggles have worn me down, and I just want time to recuperate. So, in a nutshell, there you have it: $40 million solves literally all of your problems, and what’s more… this deal is only available to the right kind of person. I don’t expect to find them. It’s either do that… or die in the medium to long-term. Those are your options. Those are my terms. Take it or leave it. I dont really care anymore, either way. If you want it, leave a comment or something, and we can find a way to talk. You’ll be needing my consultation, and that comes included. I honestly don’t want to do it anymore, but I will anyway, and I’ll do it well. Be ready to sign non-disclosure agreements in addition to the required sums. I lived in the the most beautiful coastal forests of Oregon for years after the Covid tyranny. Didn’t pay rent, didn’t speak to a soul for weeks at times.

I’m about 96 hours away from becoming a literal pirate at any particular time. It’s in my blood. My ancestors were privateers and vikings, and I grew up kinda poor, mostly around coastal California, but also a bit in the rockies and the dustbowl of Oklahoma. I like the sea, but poseidon weaponry and giant sea creatures give me the willies, growing up as I did swimming in waters with the biggest, most dangerous sharks in the world, pardon the pun.
Idk tho, stealing isn’t really my thing. But i’m feeling a bit of a SEA CHANGE coming on lately… Maybe I’ll rob some lame rich fucker for his yarl, and slip away to some misty mediterranean coastline, as that’s basically my home terrain, where I can easily survive simply by foraging. Sounds pretty good actually… I just worry about keeping my expensive custom guns out of the hands of customs, mostly.

You ever witness how a dog reacts to seeing a wolf-hybrid? Like a particularly wolfy hybrid? That’s how people react to me, especially women. They are repelled and fascinated at the same time. They don’t exactly know how to feel, or whether they should like me or hate me. I get along alright with other ‘wolves’ i guess. That’s what all my friends are, now that I think about it. Don’t get along well at all with the big bad guard dog types. And can’t really stand more domesticated types, they are stuffy and showy, but the humble ones I like.

Her grandmother, a very stable woman, was very fond of me, but about had a fit when I walked out the door and left, because I quietly broke her granddaughters heart on the spot. It was a painful goodbye.
But it wasn’t my choice to leave, I had to, or I wouldve been hunted down, and shot like a dog in the street, by a gang of ruthless killers. After breaking that girl’s heart, that’s prolly what I deserved… I haven’t talked to anyone in that family for years. What’s done is done.
Idk. I dont like to dwell on shit. Women typically just bore me, and say the dumbest shit, constantly. If I want companionship, I prefer the company of my friends or my brother. Relationships don’t do much for me, and I don’t believe in love anymore. Especially after what I’ve been through.
