I have a confession to make folks, right here on TBP’s FF. I have failed . . . not just this Friday, in truth, I have failed every day of the past 4 decades. Consider for a moment the accomplishments of just one of my ancestors, my paternal grandfather, W. L. A***s. He was a high school grad who ultimately owned his own land planning firm in Dallas, from his genius mind the designs of many new developments sprang. I have no memories of him since he died at age 56 in April of 1964, likely due to hydrogenated oil’s deadly effects on his coronary arteries.
How am I supposed to live up to his legacy? It ain’t happening, therefore, I will continue to work towards my goal of achieving earthly bliss on the endless steppes of Mongolia.
