THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Senator Joseph McCarthy charges communists are in the CIA – 1954

History.com

Senator Joseph McCarthy charges that communists have infiltrated the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the atomic weapons industry. Although McCarthy’s accusations created a momentary controversy, they were quickly dismissed as mere sensationalism from a man whose career was slipping away.

Senator McCarthy first made a name for himself in 1950 when he charged that over 200 “known communists” were in the Department of State. During the next few years, he alleged that communists were in nearly every branch of the U.S. government. His reckless accusations helped to create what came to be known as the Red Scare, a time when Americans feared that communists were infiltrating all aspects of American government and life. Despite the fact that McCarthy never managed to unearth a single communist, his ability to whip up public hysteria and smear opponents as communist sympathizers made him front-page news for several years. By 1954, however, his power was slipping. His earlier charges had been leveled at the Democratic administration of President Harry S. Truman, and Republicans had embraced McCarthy as a useful weapon. When Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower stepped into the presidency in 1953, however, McCarthy’s wild accusations became a nuisance and source of embarrassment to the Republican Party.

Sensing that his base of power was eroding, in 1954 McCarthy embarked on a spectacularly unsuccessful effort to recapture public support by opening investigations into alleged communist infiltration of the U.S. Army. By early June 1954, the McCarthy-Army hearings had been going on for nearly a month. This was the first opportunity for the American public to get a firsthand view of McCarthy, as the hearings were televised. His bullying style and hysterical behavior quickly turned off the audience. In a desperate attempt to regain momentum, McCarthy charged that communists had also infiltrated the CIA and atomic weapons industry. No one took the charges seriously, and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, his brother, CIA Director Allen Dulles, and President Eisenhower brusquely dismissed McCarthy’s accusations as reckless and without basis.

Just a few weeks later, McCarthy was thoroughly disgraced when the lawyer for the U.S. Army, Joseph Welch, gave him a devastatingly effective tongue-lashing, which ended with Welch asking the senator whether he had any sense of “decency” at all. The McCarthy-Army hearings collapsed soon thereafter, and the U.S. Senate voted to censure McCarthy. He died, still holding office, in 1957.

“reckless accusations” means highly accurate, but totally unwelcome by the Bolsheviks who even then in total control of the entire US government.

The Greatest Generation of Deep Shekel controlled dickheads were useless idiots which McCarthy found out the hard way, but at least he wasn’t JFKed…. and the useless generation of German baby killers turned the channel back to Jack Benny and their face away from reality.

When Senator McCarthy began his campaign against traitors and enemy agents in American armed forces and government, the colonel [in the CIA] took it upon himself to warn the Senator that he drastically underestimated the power of our domestic enemies and would be ruined, if he persisted in annoying them . McCarthy, who may have doubted the estimate of the forces covertly arrayed against him, replied, “No the America people will never let me down.”

THIS is why Gen-X was marginalized. They saw through much bullshit very early. They focused new techniques of brainwashing on following generations.

And looking back you can see he was 5,000% correct.
And the Communist traitor dulles brothers showed everybody proof that he was right by setting up their Communist vice-president to take the reigns after they killed JFK.
LBJ wasn’t liked and couldn’t have beat Nixon, so they used Kennedy to beat him and then install their choice

Communism was never the problem, but the tribe behind it.

McCarthy was absolutely correct, and nearly everything he stated and alleged would later be verified by the Venona Files which were declassified in 1996.

Whether Americans wish to understand it or not, if FDR wasn’t a full blown commie, he was very sympathetic to the commie movement and its people in America. Alger Hiss, FDR’s top advisor, was an outright communist, as was VP Henry Wallace who would later run for president on the Progressive ticket in 1948. Hiss would go on to design the means and methods and mechanisms, the political structure for the United Nations that initially favored the Soviet Union over the U.S., as he worked in the Truman administration.

It’s just too damned bad more wasn’t done back then to weed this vermin out of the halls of government, and now whenever I hear anyone use the word “McCarthyism” as if it is a slur or an insult, all I hear is them saying “I am an idiot and I hate America”.

And now, they are open about their socialist and islamofascist ties, as they serve in high office and even our Congress. Dalia Mogahed was a proponent for Sharia Law in America and Obama’s top advisor; John Brennan, former CIA director, is a communist as is Van Jones, Obama’s “green jobs czar”. Along with other islamofascists, such as Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, and socialists, such as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, serving in Congress today, not to mention the long list of communists serving in the Biden regime this very day.

He said that, because he was paid to say that.
Communist “purges” only push nons out of the way to make room for more mouths on the tiny hat “get” side.
It’s all about the get.
It has always been about the get.
Don’t let anyone fool you.

Amazing how those historically vilified by the Communists as liars are eventually vindicated as telling the truth. Justice for Joe McCarthy!

The deck was stacked against Senator McCarthy from the beginning … the ‘usual suspects’ were already in control of the media and all other avenues of information …

Because his target was an ideology rather than the perpetrators of it.
