If I had taken that tack in 2008 I would have missed out on the entirety of my children’s lives raised in a healthy, stimulating, authentic environment. If you have animals of any kind, you should really think over how much you are willing to put up with. No compliance is the most freeing, imo, but I know not everyone is wired that way. I absolutely encourage people to produce food at home, own chickens, or cultivate local food sources as I do with the Amish. But knowing what fear is going around may help keep you from being blindsided by those who imbibe it, which is practically everyone nowadays. A couple of years ago I happened to look at the ingredients on a can of Miller High Life beer, the Champagne of Bottled Beers, whatever. The ingredients listed Corn Syrup but not High Fructose Corn Syrup. Sounded suspect to me anyway. The other day I looked at a can of the Miller brew and the ingredients list Corn Syrup but now lists in parenthesis (Maltose), another extract however it’s done in the lab from the corn kernel. Interesting too on the list was “hop extract”. Hop extract? How about just plain hops?
I searched “Maltose” and while I’ve no clue what ingredients are in soft drinks now as they have included High Fructose Corn Syrup for many years, evidently the news is out the fructose is getting a bad rap thus a switch to Maltose at least in Miller’s High Life. And of course no one really knows the long term impact on human health with the use of Maltose. It is “supposed” to be better?
