Alan Dershowitz, the epitome of a Harvard law school left-winger back in the days before the left-wing went Woke, endorsed two of my books dealing with Washington’s dangerous assaults on American Civil Liberty.
Dershowitz’s failing is that as a defender of Zionist Israel he silences even Jews, such as Norman Finkelstein, who are critical of Zionist Israel. But when it comes to US civil liberty, he stands on the Constitution if Israel is not in the picture.
This is unusual for the left-wing today, which opposes the Constitution as a racist document intended to suppress black people.
In former periods of our history the American left was a countervailing power that protected civil rights. Those days are gone, and Dershowitz is the last.
I doubt that Dershowitz is a Trump supporter. But to Dershowitz, it is the the law, the Constitution, that is important. In a recent article, Dershowitz says, “Every American should be appalled at this selective prosecution. Today the target is former President Donald Trump. Tomorrow it may be a Democrat.”
In other words, Dershowitz is concerned that the US is becoming a Latin American country in which every outgoing president is prosecuted by his successor. Instead of law as a protector, law becomes a weapon.
Dershowitz has this to say:
“Trump’s underlying crime is seemingly a minor misdemeanor — falsifying business records — which long ago expired under the statute of limitations. In order to turn it into a felony within the statute of limitations, prosecutors will have to show that Trump falsified the records in order to impact his election, thus constituting a federal election felony.
The problem is, however, that federal authorities have not prosecuted Trump for this federal election crime. Moreover, state prosecutors have no jurisdiction over federal election law.”
In other words, there is no legal basis for Trump’s indictment.
This has from the beginning been completely apparent, and now it has been stated by America’s most prominent legal authority, a person far more knowledgeable than any member of the US Supreme Court.

In all those years, I have never seen or heard of a case in which the defendant was criminally prosecuted for failing to disclose the payment of what prosecutors call ‘hush money.’ Alexander Hamilton paid hush money to cover up an affair with a married woman. Many others have paid hush money since. If the legislature wanted to criminalize such conduct they could easily enact a statute prohibiting the payment of hush money or requiring its disclosure. They have declined to do so. In other words, America’s pre-eminent lawyer declares the totally unAmerican Biden Regime enemy of the US Constitution to be a direct threat to the existence of a rule of law and a free America.
Despite this, watch the Woke left, women, Woke white males, if male they are, vote Democrat. A country, such as America, which has lost the support of its principles by its own population is a destroyed country.

Not sure what type of government we have now but it’s not a republic and whatever it is: it is corruption on steroids.
republic: a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president.
We are still a republic, we are no longer a representative or Constitutional republic, we are a Banana Republic.
It is our system of picking a leader that has been corrupted. Republics can have appointed or elected leaders. We use a system of voting in free and fair elections to pick our leaders (often called democracy). Not pure democracy. but limited democracy. That means there is a system of checks and balances like our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Supreme court and electoral college to guarantee fairness and individual rights. This is the system that has been corrupted. You can have Representative Republics, Constitutional Republics, Theocratic Republics and Dictatorship Republics. Republics can be corrupt. The old Soviet Union (dictatorship which also had elections but they were not free or fair ), Iran (theocratic dictatorship with appointed clergy), North Korea (inherited dictatorship, so not really a republic). The last is a Banana Republic (referring to their climate and crops), which refers to Caribbean and Central American nations where military coups were common, where dictatorships and went after their political opposition.
So we have went from a Representative Republic with free and fair election (democracy) that now goes after political opposition, to a Banana republic. We are very close to a dictatorship, but we will remain a republic unless Hunter Biden inherits the leadership and is crowned king.
And younger generations (working age) don’t care what type gov. we have or if their standard of living is third world. They are cell phone addicts and video gamers 24/7. And more are getting snap cards and living in their cars or tents.
Socialist politicians promise first world benefits and deliver third world misery. Every kid should see a Soviet grocery store and a current free market Russian supermarket. Every kid should see a Soviet era block building communal apartment and a Russian free market apartment.
Then they might start to understand socialism. Russia is still a dictatorship, but is now capitalist not socialist.
How do you play vidya games in a car or tent?
Younger folks can do all this with a laptop or tablet, they don’t need comfy chairs like my age group. They can sit cross legged in the tent or sit in a car seat using a tablet or cell phone.

Alan Dershowitz was operating from a set of hypothetical scenarios that bear striking resemblance to the scripts of some Zombie and contagion movies. Like say their we’re some deadly strain that turned you into its virulant spreader and that their were some magical elixer that was its fool proof antidote . So its no surprise a mentally stunted person like Arnold Schwartzeneger would say ” fuck your freedom” in the face of all that Hollywood doom script writing stuff that everyone seems to have such an appetite for . Still , it is all hypothetically possible I suppose. Problem is now that they have politically weaponized peoples fears about the possibility of such an event when there really was none we wouldn’t even trust them at this point were they telling us the truth at last on something . Our judicial system is corrupt for sure, but one crook recognizes another faster than the rest of us would and they don’t like competition. They can get pretty exotic and unreasonable with their accusations against another of their own kind. But Trump is a more intelligent crook than the crooks that are prosecuting him, so they are getting desperate.
I’m certain you don’t want it as badly as Trump does. All will be revealed this November…assuming we make it that far. Just don’t be surprised when it doesn’t turn out as you’d hoped.

The Constitution of the United States of America is a wonderful document, but it can’t save a nation of feminists, homosexuals, adulterers and cross dressers from Gods wrath unless they repent.

Show specific examples? I would say Biden’s mannerisms are closer to any previous dictator and proven liar than Trumps. Trumps is a narcissists, a huckster and carnival barker, but he is still intelligent where Biden is stupid, and his polices are still better than Biden’s and he has not shown Biden’s tendencies towards dictatorship.
