Russia defends traditional values the West is abandoning

Via RT

The Western world has abandoned classical liberalism in favor of a new version defined by the rule of minorities and woke-ism, the Russian philosopher explained

The ever-growing anti-Russia sentiment in the West stems from the fact that Russia adheres to traditional values that Western “progressives” are trying to destroy, philosopher and political commentator Aleksandr Dugin said in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that was posted on the latter’s YouTube channel on Monday.

During the interview, Dugin laid out his view of the contemporary Western world and what he sees as the historical origins of its current ideology. He explained that the West has moved from “classical liberalism” – which professed individual freedom and democracy as understood as the rule of the majority – to a “new liberalism” defined by the rule of minorities and woke-ism. Rather than emphasizing freedom of the individual, the new incarnation of liberalism prescribes adherence to certain progressive values that are completely at odds with traditional values and in fact seeks to abolish them.

Carlson asked Dugin why many Westerners, even those who previously supported the Soviet Union, turned against Russia when President Vladimir Putin came to power in the early 2000s and started professing Russophobic ideas. The philosopher said that “Putin is a traditional leader” who defends traditional values, which run counter to those currently in vogue in the West.

“When [Putin] came to power, from the very beginning, he started to extract Russia from global influence. He started to contradict the global progressive agenda… tried with success to restore traditional values – sovereignty of the state, Christianity, traditional family,” he said, explaining that Western progressives saw these developments as being in opposition to their values.

This hatred is not something casual… it’s metaphysical. If your main task and main goal is to destroy traditional values – traditional family, traditional state, traditional relations, traditional beliefs – and someone with a nuclear weapon… stands strong defending traditional values you are going to abolish – they have some basis for this Russophobia and hatred for Putin.

In 2022, Dugin’s daughter Darya was killed in a car bombing in Moscow, which the Russian authorities claim was orchestrated by Ukrainian agents, a version also expressed by the US government. Darya, a journalist and political activist in her own right, was a vocal supporter of Russia’s military operation against Kiev.

Russophobic sentiment has been growing exponentially in light of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the outbreak of which in 2022 the West has blamed squarely on Russia. NATO has branded Russia the “most significant and direct threat” to its members’ peace and security, and many Western leaders have claimed that Moscow would attack Europe if it secures victory in Ukraine.

Russia has repeatedly said it has no such plans, with Putin last month dismissing such claims as “nonsense.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov last week called such ideas “horror stories” made up to divert attention from domestic problems in the West.

The ‘We hate Russians’ crap has been a recruiting staple of the United States ever since Julius and Ethel Rosenberg stole our nuclear bomb blueprints for them. None of this is new. Only the names have been changed. The same guy is still pulling all the strings.

While there is much truth to that, Putin is a crypto member of the tribe, and Communist. His issue with White Nationalism is why he sends Russia’s young White men to die fighting Ukraine’s young White men. Putin is as guilty as Biden and Zelensky. Even if he is smarter and more diplomatic. That and the tribe has been exterminating nations down to the last women, child, and beast of the field, 4000 years before Communist Jews ever contrived the silly Khazar side story.

When Kruschev slammed the heel of his shoe on the table and told Nixon that the Soviet Union would bury the United States, he meant it. Russia was not a virtuous Christian nation then and it isn’t now either. All of the communist propaganda and perversion began showing up on American college campuses almost immediately after Kruschev slammed his shoe down for the world to see. Russia would never tolerate that kind of perversion on their own campuses. They sent it over here for use as the Communist weapon it was designed to be. And it has been a massively effective weapon. So it’s not that Russia is virtuous or Christian or anything like that. It’s just that they know all too well how dangerous the feminism, homosexuality and other perversions their Communist college professors are pushing on American campuses really is.

Bezmenov implores The West to save itself, as it is the only place left to defect to (in 1984). He says that the Russian people will thank America forever for resisting, and thereby, saving them from the Soviet system.

“Classical liberalism” is not about tradition. It represents a revolt against tradition. Listen to Dugin carefully and read his writings. They are accessible on the internet. I don’t particularly like everything I find in his thinking but he is not dangerous and he is most certainly NOT a classical liberal. Classical liberalism is why we are where we are today.

Classical liberalism is most emphatically NOT the source of our current crises. Classical liberalism is a revolt against the tradition of human arbitrary force-backed authority, as Christianity says: no mere mortal is fit to rule other mere mortals.

The debate could be framed as Locke vs. Hobbes. Except Dugin was playing word games with Tucker and made Glenn Beck a little upset yesterday (and for the wrong reasons, too).

My Hobbes is not so good, but as near as I can tell he was eating a poisoned pie. The idea that the ruler can rule with no checks on his power is not the traditional idea of a monarch. No “dictator” or “absolute” monarch rules absolutely. The monarch or chieftain assumes his duties with a mutual understanding between him and his subjects. That certain monarchs and chieftains have been duplicitous does not negate this.

Just a defense of classical liberalism which can easily be misunderstood due to the deliberate corruption of word meanings for political ends. I have no idea what Dugin has to say about things.

Lionel, if you are taking a trip to D.C. or say Oregon, if you set a course with 1 degree of error, by the time you should be at your destination you will be so far off you will not even be aware of where you are. Our present Leftism did not suddenly appear out of nowhere but grew out of errors factored in early and compounded over time. Listen, think and read. The Truth is not something we possess in its totality at any given time. It requires constant seeking after, not glorifying our ideology, whatever that may be.

“Just as everyone in a tribe praying to a volcano god would reinforce the idea that there is a volcano god, so begging politicians for favors reinforces the idea that there is a rightful ruling class, that their commands are “law,” and that obedience to such “laws” is a moral imperative.” ― Larken Rose, The Most Dangerous Superstition

“In truth, the belief in “government” is a religion, made up of a set of dogmatic teachings, irrational doctrines which fly in the face of both evidence and logic, and which are methodically memorized and repeated by the faithful. Like other religions, the gospel of “government” describes a superhuman, supernatural entity, above mere mortals, which issues commandments to the peasantry, for whom unquestioning obedience is a moral imperative.” ― Larken Rose, The Most Dangerous Superstition

The idea of a constitutional republic was technically supposed to put the brakes on all of that “ruling “business . I am fond of thinking of words in terms of their root and therefore root meanings . For instance the word “govern ” means to have a controlling influence over the way something happens or is done . Causes govern effects and then those effects become causes themselves and so on , the price of flower governs the cost of bread . We will always have to govern our own affairs and there will always be some aspect of public life like contract law , crime and national self defense that will always require some type of governing body . The real trouble is that of size and scope ,and there I will admit that it always invariably gets out of control seemingly in direct proportion to the relative success level of the society that it governs , but then that is just human nature writ large .

I am surprised he did not get angry with the death of his daughter, on the tucker interview. For me that was the unforgivable act of no return, but I suppose it is selfish to say that with all the others killed in the war. But it is unforgivable, the same for every child or woman taken advantage of in Ukraine, by the western actors, or every civilian killed by the Kiev grunts.

If I was in tucker’s place, I would be on a rant, and really wanting to strangle those people who did this. Philosophy is nice and all, but when someone kills your daughter with a car-bomb, you gather all mafia connections and lock and load, for a very long night. There would be screams before dawn.

Putin’s issue with the West is the rise of White Nationalism. White Nationalism is not represented by the political establishment. Putin is as much a member of the political establishment as much as Zelensky and Biden. They work to a common purpose, erasing White identity and existence. Not my idea of values.

Putin erasing White identities thru advocating traditional orthodox family structures, encouraging families to plant gardens and more self sufficiency, to refusing to allow the fags to have influences on their children.

Yes Putin is a political, a smart one at that, but he’s actively pro white and for families. To say he’s on the same level as Zed and buydem is beyond stupid.
