Repeal the 17th Amendment. Return the (s)election of senators to the state legislatures. Clean the fossils out.
The 16th and 17th pretty much gave the federal government the go ahead to spend whatever they wanted. I have studied the adoption of the 17th trying to determine why the states would give up the only power they had in the District of Corruption, a subject which still baffles me.
The States and We the People made an agreement that established the central government and each had their representatives, but the states let pressure from the people to give up their representation due to the corruption in the selection of senators. Now we have a central government that is controlled by the moneyed interests and neither the States nor We the People have much of a say in what they do.
Probably the worst amendment yet.

I support age limits.
However that will simply force the puppeteers to replace the puppets more often.
The retirement should be when they would be eligible for social security but no later then 67 so that they won’t keep raising the age just to stay in. Maybe include term limits to two terms as senator or four terms as representative maximum, and fifteen years maximum for total federal office time.
But, they would never vote for any term limits on themselves, so it is a moot point.
