When: This should be just prior to the 4th of July holiday. Before Congress recesses for summer break. Middle of June would be probably be perfect and for many other reasons as well.
Where: Washington D.C. and every major American city with a population over 500,000. This allows the entire nation to join in and display unity wherever they are. Many cannot afford a trip to Washington DC
What: Organized protest - It is of utmost importance as Americans of all political parties to state clearly what we want to occur, including problem solving and the approach to problem solving. I have a suggested twist of logic; instead of signs saying stop this or that, we should all have signs that state a solution on them. Even more important will be the promotion of the concept of Liberty as a general theme. Liberty = Free Will, Acceptance of Reward & Consequences of One's Actions
How: Gather feedback of the timing, what we wish to say to our Representatives and specific ideas from your friends and family on what we want to say to our Representatives. Just emailing or phoning this Congress or Senator is ignored. Time for physical demonstrations.
This discussion will remain here at The Burning Platform until the event so we have time for vetting of ideas, debate and an organized plan. The founders of Raging Debate (sponsors of this site and technology platform) can reach hundreds of thousands of families with the click of a mouse with an invitation to participate from all over the country as our contribution. We can get the message out.
However, prior to doing this, time should be spent on what we wish to say, what we want to have happen moving forward in our country. We the Taxpaying People know collectively we will be footing the bill for yesterdays and todays mismanagement of our country. It's time to declare what We the People want as America restructures it's economic and political landscape. The citizenship needs emerging leadership to step forward and carry the torch uniting our efforts. Thank you for all of your current and past efforts. But we want and need your help on this to talk to friends, family, neighbors.
Ready for ideas...

The timing seems shrewd. Many are calling for a tea-party style demonstration. Along your train of thought: Can we build something as a demonstration to government instead of breaking it like the original Boston tea party?

The college students don't understand what is really going on. Ideas of how to convince a good number of them to march with us? I could print up some flyers for my school.

Why not every city in the country?

Nice work kicking off a specific plan of action. Does your group have the resources and media reach to pull it off?

Gathering steam with a think tank core and a few activists like the owner of this site. But it's getting more organized. Our group is demonstrating some technology concepts to connect the masses and create actionable plans. A financial plan is being created later in the month to request donations from the citizenship and direct sponsorship from investors. I suppose to answer your question directly, time will tell.

The time for passive resistence is over. This government is out of control. Organized protests by millions of Americans will get the attention of the entrenched power elite. They will not sit idly by while we get our message across. They have money and media which they will use to discredit the cause. This will not be an easy fight. But, anything worth fighting for is not easy.

To gain media attention you probably have to be creative. "Tea Party" sounds nice, but maybe "Balloon party" is better.
Have pre-printed balloons with each one 1,000,000 $ worth each and send them into the sky (there goes your money).
Hmm...I'm afraid I didn't take into account of just how many balloons you got to purchase for that...:-(

WOW. Perfect suggestion. Balloons are the perfect symbol and when they reach too far in the air they pop!

I guess I'm a bit jaded, and a little more than angry (see screen name...). I've only marched once in my life and it was in October of 2001, in protest of the war. I think we all know how that one turned out...
I like the idea of the Tea Parties, a little different headline than just a "protest march" or a "demonstration". As for an aim/goal/message -- how about the abolition of our central banking system? Jim, you've eloquently pointed out time and again that central banking (and thus control of our country by bankers) has brought us to our knees, again. (By the way, I love the quote by Andrew Jackson in your most recent article -- I'm stealing that one for my next group presentation).
It's not good enough to just demand that our politicians stop spending our money. It's not good enough to ask for the derivative-creating CEOs' heads on platters. We need to highlight the root of the problem altogether. Maybe we could all just start bartering and refusing to accept US Dollars?? ;) That might get people's attention..
Looking forward to hearing everyone else's ideas.

I'm ready to let my voice be heard with others about the drunken power mongers in Washington. Are there any national organizations spearheading a movement to protest? I've looked on line and can't seem to find any. Perhaps the G shut them down already. I know many are steaming, but individually we will not make an impact. We need to act quickly because our government is moving at breakneck spead to run us into complete ruin.
